Privacy Policy
PostCardX ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding data collection and usage within the PostCardX Chrome Extension.
1. Zero Data Collection
We believe in absolute user privacy. PostCardX does NOT collect, store, upload, or transmit any of your personal details, browsing history, or tweet data to any external servers. All operations, including card style customization, rendering, and DOM analysis, are executed 100% locally inside your web browser sandbox.
2. Permissions Disclosures
To provide its core functionality, PostCardX requests the following permissions:
clipboardWrite: Required to copy the processed PNG visual cards directly into your system clipboard when you click the "Copy" button. This allows seamless pasting (Cmd+V/Ctrl+V) into other design tools and chatting apps.host_permissions (x.com & twitter.com CNDs): Required to proxy assets like avatar images or media pictures from Twitter's Content Delivery Networks (pbs.twimg.com & abs.twimg.com). This CORS proxying happens entirely on-device via the extension's background service worker, avoiding Canvas Tainting issues so the renderer can paint high-DPI snapshots safely.
3. Third-Party Services
We do not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, analytic tracers (such as Google Analytics), or tracking cookies. We have no backend database. The extension is entirely offline-first.
4. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to align with new extension features or browser engine policies. Any changes will be updated directly on this page.
5. Contact
